The downstairs hallway is about halfway there. The woodwork is primed and undercoated and the wallpaper is up – the vision is coming to life!

There is a section of skirting board to be replaced where the broadband cable has been re-routed. Is it just me or does anyone else really dislike cable stapled to the top of the skirting board?

The paneling along the stairs is on and needs priming. I’ve colour-matched the off-white that will go above the panelling and ceiling to the pale colour on the wallpaper and it really lifts the light in the space.

The biggest challenge has been keeping Billy away from his favourite snooze spot long enough for the paint to dry without his fur embedded in it…
