Hello again. The gardens, front and back look to be reaching peak lushness. The wisteria is blooming prolifically and the scent is gorgeous. Pat Butcher rhodendron is in full bloom and she has the header shot this week. I have an assignment to write (who said procrastinator?), so I’ll be quick.
- Wisteria ‘Prolific’ – I’m really very pleased with how this has covered the pergola, the racemes dripping from the rafters. The growth has been astonishing. These two photos are a week apart. It really does prove “right plant, right place”.

2. Gertude Jekyll rose – The first bloom with many buds to follow.
3. Bluebells – in the north border, so blue they are nearly purple
4. North border – I topped up the ericaceous compost, gave it a good watering and have been rewarded with new leaves unfurling.

5. North border extension – there is growth and the anthriscus sylvestris ravenswing is flowering
6. View from the front door – I’m very pleased with this. The euphorbia wulfenii is in overdrive as is the shrub rose Charles Austin and obsuring the grey pot containing the magnolia that has just finished flowering.
