I love that I can pick a huge armful of flowers from the allotment for the house. I’ve become better at sowing and growing a variety of shapes and textures although there’s still very little foliage.
This week’s offering is an assortments of flowers just starting (dahlias) and those elegantly going over (agastache). I’ve grown dianthus kaleidoscope for the first time and I think well worth the effort of the over-wintering and pinch-out malarkey – they smell lovely and last forever in and out of the vase.

Thanks to Cathy for hosting this meme. Do ramble over to her’s to check out everyone else’s lovely vases.
So beautiful! an inspiration to up my input on flowers. I’ve been a bit lazy but I can see it’s so worth spending the time on.
Thank you. I’m pleased with the flowers this year but still working on getting more foliage for the vase.
Wow! So so beautiful! You do have an abundance of flowers so suited for arrangements. Lovely.
My goodness, you what an abundant delight! And of course it is much harder to restrict yourself to something simple when you have such a lot of blooms at your disposal – I know I had to restrain my itchy fingers this week to stick with just the three dahlias. It looked a very grand setting until I realised it was a fireplace, which in fact is a perfect place for an elaborate display like this. Thanks so much for joining us
I’m envious of the dahlias in particular. Mine are still far from bloom stage.
Very nice. I love your dahlia choices.
Thanks – they chose me as in they are the first to bloom.
