This week has seen the first flush of HT roses; Chandos beauty, Lady Mitchell and white Perfumella. All have delicious perfume but I love the form and colour of chandos beauty.

I was spoilt for choice today and wanted to cut as many as I could – they live at the allotment and everything there is grown to harvest. This is how I ended up with two vases.

Thanks to Cathy for hosting this meme. Ramble over to her garden to see her vase and many others.
Beautiful bouquets of roses. Mine never have enough blooms to cut any, so I view them simply in the garden. What a treat it must be to have such an abundance to bring home two vases of them!
However much love the fullness of David Austin’s English roses, I have to agree that hybrid teas still have a really attractive and elegant shape – your vases are both so pretty! How much of your allotment is given over to flowers? I have had dedicated cutting beds in the garden for the last few years and it was such a good decision to make, as well as being really attractive in their own right
Thank you Cathy. I have three 10×3 beds for roses and peonies, one for bulbs and another (recently extended) for perennials and regular annuals.
Gosh, it sounds huge! Any veg at all, or just decorative? I will pop over and have a (virtual) look – it sounds delightful!
It’s a 10 rod plot, so plenty of room for veg and fruit too
I have been and had a look at your blog and what you have achieved – well done! I suppose almost everyone taking on a plot will have to start with an overgrown and weed infested space – such a lot to do before you can get on with the growing side of things!
