It was a bright sunny day at the plot today and I got in a few hours of weeding and mulching. As I wandered around with a well-earned cup of coffee in hand, I noted what still needed to be tidied up – there’s a list. I’m conscious that too much tidying causes homelessness and starvation for the local wildlife, so along with plot neighbours, I’m happy to leave fallen fruit and seedheads.
With the afternoon light, it struck me that these ‘untidy’ areas actually look quite lovely.
Interesting post and pictures. xx

Checked on the pumpkins in cold storage and found one fuzzy. Harvested the seeds to feed to the goats and ducks, and tossed it onto the compost pile to return to the earth. All these things cycle back eventually, if we leave them be. -Oscar
