I’m startled by the huge temperature range inside the tunnel but everything seems to be thriving.
The peach blossom is up to its usual standard but the chief pollinator has been slacking, but there’s always hope.
The peas are on schedule to be early.
The strawberries seem happier in their refreshed bed. I spy a tiny flower bud.
I’m excited by the prospect of broad beans this year. The perfume from the flowers is quite amazing – another bonus of growing under cover.
I’ve sown a row of Real Seeds Morton’s secret lettuce mix, which will keep me in leaves for a few months

And I didn’t realise broad bean flowers had an aroma but obviously why not? Mine aren’t showing yet, so I’ll give them a sniff when they’re ready.
