I fear the blooms have peaked a week too soon. I picked an armful of white Perfumella and peach Chandos Beauty. I’m hoping there will be some more buds by Thursday afternoon. However, I have done a deal with a plot neighbour, who had very generously agreed to me cutting as many Karma Chocolate dahlias as are available. Thanks Graham, you’re a star!
Here are a couple of vase variations:
This one picks up on the deep red/burgundy theme with highlights of white and green. The Rubenza cosmos are still going strong.
This version uses the roses from this week, I fear there will be less available at the end of the week. There is however, plenty of euphorbia
This one features the much sought after Cafe au Lait dahlia – pinker than I expected but goes very well with the zinnia, ammi and euphorbia.
I’ve been given some square florist buckets, which should make the journey from Twickenham to Dartford a bit less fraught!
Next Monday will be the results – wish me luck!
Thanks to Cathy at Rambling in the Garden for hosting this meme. See her vase here
Absolutely beautiful!
Thank you 🙂
They look lovely!
there’s some gorgeous flowers there, a really good blend of colours too!
I do hope you have lots of choice blooms for your wedding flowers – is it this weekend? The zinnias are especially nice and should last well in a vase, as should any dahlias. What a generous friend Graham is 🙂 Do your photos show the colour of your Cafe au Lait accurately as yours really does look bizarrely pink and most unlike the blooms I have seen… Best of luck for the wedding, Sharon 🙂
