If this were a reading from the Sahara desert, then these temperatures would be normal but it’s my London polytunnel at the end of April!
I deployed the fleece last week, when the overnight temperatures started to drop.
As I’ve been at work, the fleece has stayed in place during the day. I think it’s had a positive effect on plant growth, sheltering them from both extremes of temperature. Take a look.
Time to harvest some salad leaves and maybe some baby potatoes this weekend 🙂
Clearly worth covering. xx
Beautiful beetroot!
They look like a great harvest!
I’ve been doing the same here in Kent. Totally worthwhile as my plants have loved it too!
