You know how it is when you move house; there’s bits and pieces that you need and want but don’t have time to sort out right away. Seems it’s the same with an allotment move. I’ve created my very own ‘sort it later’ zone!
The blueberry bushes are up there, waiting for the fruit cage to be re-built. Hopefully a job for next weekend.
The bulk bag of mushroom compost joined the the zone yesterday and I’ve been busy mulching beds today.
More seed sowing and mulching tomorrow 🙂
I’ve had one of those zones for nearly 5 years now…:) Happy mulching!
What is your fruit cage like? Did you build it yourself or buy one? I’m interested in one for my blueberries.
It’s a DIY cage. Met posts and 50×50 timber. This will be the first time I’ve attempted to dismantle and reassemble it!
Good luck! What does ‘met posts’ mean?
Metposts are the long spiky metal posts that you drive into the ground to hold a wooden post. These cost a fortune in the DIY sheds but are much more reasonably priced on Ebay:)
Thanks – you learn something new every day!
I’m rather disciplined when it comes to stuff! xx
Something I still aspire to…
