I’m really pleased with how the plot is shaping up this year; for the last 3 years I have felt my motivation slipping. The weather, pests and rampant bindweed didn’t help improve my mood. At the start of this year though, something changed. The plot has always my place for solitude and reflection and I really needed some of that in my life. The plot benefited from my attention too.
This honeysuckle was installed with the intention of covering a trellis alongside the shed. I imagined being on the pallet patio, watching the sun go down and surveying the estate (!) surrounded by fragrant honeysuckle.
This might be the year it happens…
Oh definitely one to make happen! I have the same kind of arrangement by my (tiny) shed – a pallet step that’s the perfect spot to watch the sun go down (or just sit and be). I also have a plan for trellis with something lovely growing up it – maybe a mix of honeysuckle and clematis. But first I have to clear away all my accumulated bits and pieces (aka junk) that might come in handy one day’.
I’ve rearranged my ‘this will be useful, someday’ bits and pieces and put them under the potting table that is the other side of the trellis. One of those out of sight arrangements…. 🙂
