Did you miss me?  I’ve been busy; getting to grips with a new job, creating e-learning content on a range of topics that I don’t understand, e.g. anything from diabetes to venous thromboembolism (but at least I can spell it now!)  Of course, spending time at the plot although not as much time as I would like.

Summer was glorious and most weekends were spent with friends in Southampton, taking the boat over to the Isle of Wight for lazy lunches.  The plot was a little neglected.

I got a bit hooked by the ‘Great British Bake-off’, I’m not a great baker but I do make a mean muffin and pretty fabulous Victoria sponge cake.  These became vehicles to deal with the strawberry glut, and the oversupply of raspberrys and blueberries.  Some apples also found themselves chopped and simmered in maple syrup for an autumnal muffin and an apple and sultana cake.

Here are some of my ‘bake-off’ moments.
