My first IAVOM of 2024. Thanks to our host Cathy for her weekly posts of creativity and inspiration.
This week’s offering is Tulip Copper Image, a stem of Narcissus Thalia, a few sprigs of Geum and Laurel to provide support and fill in the gaps.
Happy Easter Monday. The bonus of an early Easter is the extra day to recover from the ‘jet lag’ of the clocks going forward 🙂
Pretty! I love the colors.
Thanks 🙂
Yes, such a lovely tulip, but I hadn’t envisaged it as a viridiflora type – good to know it reliably comes back each other, so that’s one to look out for. They look lovely with the white narcissi and the dark foliage – and you have some geum in there too! Thanks for sharing, Sharon
I LOVE the tulips! I can only grow a few species tulips in my southern California climate.
Species tulips are very lovely
That’s a beautiful vase of flowers Sharon. I think that ‘Thalia’ is my all time favourite narcissus. Which geum is it in your vase?
Thank you. The geum came with the house. I lifted and divided it just before the building work started. I now have six huge plants. I call it ‘tough as old boots’ 🙂
A beautiful tulips that makes their bouquet quite lovely.
Thanks Donna
Such lovely colours, and Thalia certainly shines amongst the coppery tulips and the dark foliage.
Thanks. I’m pleased I’ve finally found a use for the laurel.
Ooh, gorgeous! I have Thalia and orange tulips this week too, but you are ahead of us with Geums in flower. That is a lovely one! 😃
I know those Geums are so early. It’s my propagation success story – 6 plants from one that came with the garden.
