I did wonder if the PSB would bother this year, being about 4 weeks behind usual production. Last week, there were just huge shrubs of green leaves but yesterday I spied purple buds nestling amongst the leaves.

Today I picked all the sprouts, lightly steamed them and scoffed the lot with a salmon fillet and home made hollandaise. Finally, I’ve found a recipe that works as promised!
Nom, nom, nom 🙂
and I did share the PSB with Billy…

That looks and sounds delicious. xx
I love purple sprouting broccoli. Congratulations on the recipe which works 😊.
Love love love this idea! I use psb in any recipe that asks for asparagus.
Is PSB a perennial? Or an over-wintered annual?
It’s an over-wintered annual. Takes about 9 months to produce the shoots, which are the flowers, but we don’t let it get to that stage.
