I have to admit that I am feeling a little discouraged. I get the distinct impression that I’m talking to myself.
Yes, being the only girl in the house does mean that I am used to that but it doesn’t mean I like it!
Getting the search engines to latch on to this website and propel it to the front page of Google is a bit of a dream; up there with managing to grow a perfectly formed swede even 😉
What do I need to do more of or less of? Perhaps, like most things, it’s just about persistence. Keeping on keeping on until eventually, one day I get discovered…
More plot time today. The hoe was kept busy. I sowed more flower seeds and was pleasantly surprised and grateful that the seedlings already in the polytunnel had survived a week of being shut in – I’ll try to do better next week.
Come on people – if you are reading this, leave a sign – click on like. Thanks

I like to browse allotment and gardening blogs and stumbled upon yours, just having a quick look through your past posts I could just make a couple of suggestions. More photos: everyone loves photos, the prettier the better. They will usually be the first thing people see if they are just browsing tags. Post regularly: you’ll be a lot easier to discover if you have regular posts that crop up on “freshly pressed”. Tags: You are already using tags but you could use some more search terms that might be relevant, “garden”, “gardening”, “food”, “vegetables”. And finally Socialise: Find other allotment and gardening blogs and like/follow/comment on them, but be genuine. Don’t just do it for more followers. Hopefully things will start picking up for you soon. Good luck!
Hey Melisnorth
Thanks for your comments, all very helpful. I may have gone a bit mad with the photos in the most recent post! I hope you enjoy. Sharon
Hi Sharon, glad I could help. Your last blog post of the before/after was just the thing that I like to see. The photos were good each illustrated a different part of your post. As a beginner gardener I like seeing the different stages of the garden so I can compare with how mine is going. Hope you keep it up!
