It’s the turn of the gladioli, although the dahlias and eryngium are still going strong. I feel blessed to be able to fill a vase with such a selection. It brightens up the house no end. These are all perennials, so I can take no credit. I do love this vase, origins unknown as it is unmarked.
My usual fillers flowers; antirrihnum and zinnia have not been great this year although the heleniums are doing well inspite of a sustained munching by the slimy hordes. Expect to see a more compact, golden yellow display next week.
I feel the need to disown the paint job on the wall behind the flowers. Not my work – another of the Bruce bodge jobs that proliferate here at the Gulag.
Do remember to stop by Cathy’s page to see the rest of this week’s vases.
