The crocus and tete a tete narcissi are for me, the first signs of spring at the plot but this year they were flattened by the beasts. The next flower to emerge is the tulip and although a bit behind, I’ve been tracking her progress from tight bud to full-blown flower.
The star is Pink Impression.
6th April – I see colour
11th April – the difference a week makes

12th April – in a vase
What has been the first spring flower to emerge in your garden or plot?

That is a gorgeous colour combination with the darker tulip! My first tulips have been ‘Showcase’, ‘Passionale’ and ‘Exotic Emperor’. The others are starting to catch up… In fact I just wrote a post about my unripe tulips!

Lovely. My crocuses didn’t fare well this year, and most of the daffodils been and gone already. Thankfully I have a few tulips which are just starting to flower. xx
I want more tulips 😊
You won’t regret it😁
😁
Hyacinths! I have plans for tulips and daffodils next spring, I never quite get around to it in Autumn, but this year I’m going to get bulbs planted!
I love Tulips, these are beautiful 🙂
Gorgeous blooms!
