Spring equinox is two days away, so I see this weekend as winter having it’s last hurrah (please take note winter) It’s also an opportunity to post some photos of Billy enjoying the snow.
and a few shots of the newly planted apple trees in the municipal orchard.

I do feel sorry for those little buds! My roses were blasted with the last snow, but the fruit tree buds weren’t so far along, so I think they are ok. Hope you are nice and cosy indoors now!
There’s a municipal apple orchard? Wow, sounds like a very enlightened local government. Around here, people specifically seek out fruitless varieties of trees, apparently because they’re convinced that nobody will eat all that fallen fruit, and it will make a mess. Sigh…
I know and there are pears too! They have only just been planted so harvest season could be interesting! I like the idea of plucking an apple to munch (and share with Billy) as we walk around the park.
We now have a community orchard in our village. Early days but once established the fruit is free to anyone in the village.
We have a community orchard, too. However, access is difficult, so something needs to be done about that! Anyway, I do hope spring will really start now 😊.
