I completed the second set of tying-in this weekend. It’s a task that doesn’t need too much mental effort and the repetition of cutting twine and tying in stems is mindlessly mindful – just focus on the stem!
I do have some large bunches of stems tied to one pole, which is probably frowned upon but they all looked too lovely to cut out.
Whether it’s right or wrong, it seems to be on course to produce longer and slightly straighter stems than leaving them to clamber up netting.
At this rate, I’ll need considerably more twine…
Billy checking the lines.
I used to grow them but never did well with them sadly. xx
Very zen, standing cutting, tying-in, examining, cutting … Looks a treat and should be great for cutting flowers
Fingers crossed.
