It seemed rude to not use the greenhouse but also a bit daft with the freezing temperatures. I finally got around to sowing some hardy seeds last weekend. I always start spinach in a trough for an early picking or two in April. I’ve also started broad beans in modules, which gives me 8-10 weeks of digging to get the ground ready!
I want to take advantage of the mild climate inside the polytunnel, so have also started a tub of nantes carrots and a tray of little gem lettuce. It’ll be interesting to see if the indoor growing will also protect from carrot fly and slugs…Watch this space!

Well done. It’s always good to get sowing again. xx
