It seems it’s been a busy week for most sixers; stockpiling photos during the week. That was me too and then the wifi went slow; frankly I’d prefer no wifi to slow wifi. I left tech support (son) and went to the plot. He fixed it and here we are. My six are all about the early blossoms in the garden this week. Remember to catch-up with the rest of the amazing sixers over at Jim’s.
- Rhododendron Bet Lynch – this came with the house. The style and colour of the bloom reminds me of the former landlady of the Rovers Return.

2. Wisteria sinensis Prolific – it really is. Only its second year in the garden.

3. Bluebells – Their third year in the north border and finally they flower.

4. Ferns – also in the north border. I love this unfurling stage.

5. Camassia – I’m glad I took this photo on Wednesday, when I went for a border patrol this morning the flowers were all spent.

6. Pittomatis – is in bloom. I’d prefer more buds further up, but training is in progress. I think a darker petal would be a better contrast against the variegated leaves of the pittosporum – Maybe I can fit in another clematis…

What a great name for a Rhododendron, I can almost see bet wearing an outfit in these colours!
Thanks Rosie, I completely missed this comment at the time – Specsavers… I think definately Bet Lynch or Pat Butcher..
That’s a six to cheer your heart! Love the rhododendron too!!
I totally missed this comment – catching up now. I’m in a love/hate relationship with that rhododendron.
Beautiful blooms Sharon, I love bluebells… Our Rhodi is still in tight bud, but the clematis is in full flower.. Its been an excellent Spring for our blooms… Thank you for your choice of your six special blooms 🙂
Thanks Sue, I completely missed these comments at the time – Specsavers…
