Thank you to Sharon at Slice of Life blog for the nomination. Eleven questions is a good way to find out about a fellow blogger; some were very easy to answer and others took a bit more thinking and reflection.
I’m not going to nominate anyone else but I have left three questions at the end of post, you are all most welcome to answer all, one or none as the mood takes you.
Right then, sitting comfortably? Here’s me:
- If you could only have one meal for the next month, what would it be and why?
- The meal I will happily eat on repeat is a caprese salad. Warm, ripe tomatoes fresh from the field; soft creamy mozzarella, drizzle of olive oil, balsamic vinger and fresh basil leaves and some good crusty bread to mop up the tomato juice. Nom.
2. Sticking with food, who would you most like to have round to yours for dinner? This can be anyone alive or dead, real or fictional!
I would like to have my Mum round for dinner. I have finally achieved the type of kitchen/diner she always dreamed of. I’m sad she’s no longer here to sit at the table with me.
3. You’re in charge of the world for one day – what do you do?
Sack Donald Trump and send him, Elon and Jeff off into outer space in one of their rockets.
4. What’s the most important lesson you learned as a child?
It’s not all about me
5. What’s the biggest change you’ve seen in yourself as you’ve grown older?
Still struggling for patience but at least I can name it.
6. What animal do you feel you would be and why?
Labrador – gentle, loving and patient. Will get their teeth out if pushed too far.
7. Lots of company of being alone – which do you prefer and why?
Alone thank you. I’m an introvert and proud. I like other people just not all the time and prefer to have their drama none of the time.
8. Do you consider yourself domesticated when it comes to the home, or are you a creature of mess and chaos?!
In my wild state I’m drawn to mess and chaos but clearing up is no fun so I’ve learned to appreciate the benefits of domestication and the ability to have a cleaner give the house a once-over every fortnight.
9. Favourite movie of all time and why?
Any film that leaves me with a warm glow, which eliminates all testosterone-driven movies.
10. What superhero trait do you wish you had and why?
Speed – whizz here and there, around the globe, triple time through my to – do list. Most importantly is to keep it a secret 🙂
11. Who are you most inspired by?
My Mum. It wasn’t easy being a single parent in the 60s and 70s. I never felt like any material things were missing, life was just the way it was. It’s taken me to be a parent to fully understand the sacrifices she made so I could say that. Thanks Mum x
Three questions for all of you.
- What’s the principle you live your life by?
- What’s your favourite food?
- What’s the most extravagant thing you’ve ever bought for yourself?

Thank you for taking part, really enjoyed your answers! Such a nice idea isn’t it?
Good for you to answer all the questions!
My answers to 2 of your 3:
It’s OK to think absolutely anything, but not always OK to act on or express those thoughts. (Benevolent hypocrisy.)
Favourite single food: cheese. Composite food: pasta with tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, and cheese (of course).
Can’t think of an answer for this one, so have substituted #4 from the main list. Most important lesson as a child: Books are a magical refuge fro the real world.
Thanks for sharing Audrey. That’s a very important principle.
Congratulations upon your blogging award.. Great choice of meal 🙂 Wishing you a lovely Easter Holiday x
Thanks Sue – you too. I may get some potatoes in the ground.
