I’m back with more roses from the plot and fillers from the garden.
Last year I used the drama of moving to a new allotment site to purchase several rose bushes for the cutting garden. I call it my rose walk! I had to have my favourite Chandos Beauty, and gave White perfumella another chance, along with Fragrant cloud. I added in Jubilee papa meilland, a rose new to me but what’s not to love about a fragrant, rich red rose? I’ve included two stems for the vase along with perfumella and CB. The fillers from the garden are the spires of Salvia nemorossa, Linaria and another salvia, clotted cream and some frothy alchemilla mollis to fill in the gaps.

Thanks to Cathy for hosting this meme. Ramble over to hers to see more floriferous displays.

Roses seem to be everywhere (except my garden!) to celebrate this IAVOM and I’m very envious. Your combination makes a lovely arrangement, Sharon.
How lovely to have a rose walk on your allotment, especially with the extra space I assume you have got. Is it nearer where you live? My Grannie gave me (as a child) a book about the story of the ‘Peace’ rose, which involved the Meilland family, so my ears pricked up at the mention of Papa Meilland. Such beautiful roses today, Sharon, and with more alchemilla than I used it really sets them off
Beautiful roses and the alchemilla mollis as a filler is perfect.
Lovely roses. They are hopeless here, for me anyway. I would love to smell the flowers. And grow roses and lady’s mantle in my garden.
Roses…yay! Mine are blooming, too, and included in my vase day post. Wonderful time of year when they are blooming. Your “rose walk” sounds perfect!
Very pretty. And clotted cream salvia sounds divine!
